Not able to join us (in person)?
There will be many people, due to their duties in life or health concerns, who will not be able to be on the sidewalks near abortion centers to pray. Many more will not be able to be there as much as they would like. But every one can pray wherever they are throughout the 40 Days for Life.
Specific prayer requests will seek God’s help for:
• Women who are at risk of having an abortion
• Innocent children who are at risk of perishing
• Men and women who carry the pain of a past abortion experience
• Workers at Planned Parenthood facilities and other abortion centers
• Local, state, and national leaders
• Revival and renewal in our churches
• Repentance and healing throughout our nation
People of faith are also invited to fast throughout 40 Days for Life. Fasting does not have to mean skipping meals. It could mean fasting from television, from extraneous chatting on the telephone, from cokes, candy, or other treats, from luxuries and vanities. It could mean spending additional time in silent prayer and contemplation about the meaning and gift of LIFE.
The 40 Days for Life is a peaceful and educational presence. Those who are called to stand witness through this 24-hour-a-day presence send a powerful message to the community about the tragic reality of abortion. It also serves as a call to repentance for those who work at the abortion center and for those who patronize the facility.
